42 Units Pried Into at Norcross, GA Storage Facility
A doorlocking mechanism was reported to have been pried open at Uncle Bob’s Self Storage, allowing suspect or suspects to gain access to 42 storage units.
According to the police report, the manager of the 2655 Langford Road facility told Norcross Police that suspect or suspects moved the security cameras and opened the locks the evening of March 12.
Many victims came forward to police to report items stolen from their units. One victim, who owns two storage units, said an engine to a commercial seeder and a “wet clutch” transmission was missing from his units. He told police that the items were valued around $2,000, and its possible that other items were missing, too, says the report.
Two other victims said their single unit had several items missing, too.
One additional victim came forward to report damage to a car he kept in his unit. His 1970 Chevrolet Malibu had damage to its trunk, almost as if someone attempted to gain entry into it, he told police.
Norcross PD was able to obtain the footage from the security cameras, but the report does not list any suspects.
