The Florida Self Storage Association has named Kure It Cancer Research as their sole charity.
The Florida Self-Storage Association has joined forces with Kure It Cancer Research to raise money for underfunded cancer research. Through the partnership, the FSSA will promote Kure It to its membership, which includes storage industry professionals from throughout the state of Florida.
Kure It has developed several programs unique to the self storage industry, all designed at raising critical dollars to fund innovative research. Through “Store for the Kure” and “Round Up for Research”, storage facilities and their tenants are making an impact in the way kidney and other cancers are treated. The FSSA board voted unanimously to adopt Kure It as their sole charity, and will work with their membership to raise funds and awareness for the need for research into underfunded malignancies. According to Florida Self Storage Association Executive Director Robert Bret, “The new partnership allows us to team with Kure It in the fight against cancer, something that affects all of us. We look forward to making a difference.”
Kure It founder Barry Hoeven said, “The partnership with the Florida Self Storage Association will be good for Kure It, as we look to extend our base of support to other states. We’re grateful to the Board of Directors and the many members of the association for making cancer research a priority. ”
Kure It’s unique partnership with the self storage industry is key to the organization’s success. Since being founded in 2007, Kure It has raised more than $1,000,000 for cancer research.
