Four-Alarm Fire at Auburn Self-Storage Facility

Firefighters battled a fire in Auburn self-storage facility on Wednesday evening.

Just after 6:30 p.m., someone reported smoke comfing from a unit in the building located in the 4500 block of Auburn Way South.

The fire quickly spread.

A third alarm was called at about 7:12 p.m. and after 8 p.m. went to a fourth alarm

Fireifghters took a defensive stance in fighting the fire, staying on the outside of the building.

“Basically going from one unit to the next and opening each door, putting the fire out in that unit and moving to the next unit,” said Valley Regional Fire Authority spokeswoman Kelly Williams.

There were no reports of injuries.

Because of the warm temperatures, firefighters were being rotated in and out quickly so they could cool off.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
